This composition was inspired by much reflection, including asking one of life’s most important questions - What is the purpose of our existence? I think many people have asked themselves that question. In doing so, many people try to find their purpose in life. For some, their purpose might be to be inspirational figures. Others might want to help the sick, the poor, or those in need. For others, it may be to be a good person. I think there is something bigger than ourselves in life, and our purpose is to find it so we may live our lives in the most honest, authentic, genuine, caring, and compassionate way. Thus, whether it be praying in a place of worship, reflecting near a river, or thinking about their lives near a tree, I hope that my composition serves as a reminder that every one of us has a different purpose in this earthly life - it is up to us to find that beautiful purpose and manifest our talents, our gifts, and our embrace this life with love, happiness, and compassion for our fellow earthly beings.
