La Lechuza

La Lechuza attributes its name to the Spanish word for the barn owl, “Lechuza” which is rampant in Mexico and part of Mexican folklore. As the tales have it, La Lechuza is a legendary creature described as a witch who can transform into an owl. The Lechuza only comes out at night. It can whistle or screech annoyingly. The Lechuza is also a creature that howls, foreseeing something bad, unfortunate. It is a creepy bird for a spooky tale, and this composition brings to life the myth and the legend.
